I need to do my mid-term. It feels so good to write. I mean, just like typing my mind. My husband and I were doing our midterm paper for this US Disciples History & Polity class required for Commissioning. Ironically, I was helping him with the outline. Here we are, he’s snoring away but I’m still up doing mine. The Power of Focus. I was distracted with other stuff, thinking “I got this.” But he was so focused, determined to have his paper done. Turtle and Hare. 

Choices I make

Choice.

The choices I make today will influence my tomorrows.

The choices I make this minute will impact the next hour.

What I choose, I am responsible for.

If I choose to be happy, I will be happy.

If I choose to be sad, I will be sad.

It’s all about one’s mindset.

My happiness, my decisions, should not depend on another person.

If I want to be happy, I should not depend on my husband, my parents, my siblings my boss, my coworkers, my pastor or even strangers.

My happiness is my choice.

My success is my choice.

The choices you make today affects your surroundings.

The choices you make today is the result of tomorrow.

Why is it that when something bad happens to us, we blame someone else?

Accept the outcome of your choices.

Self-denial.

One never wants to accept criticism and negative outcome.

People fear FAILURE.

I fear Failure.

That is why I am not living life to its fullest potential.

I am not succeeding like how I should be.

I still live in the “If Only” life.

Pathetic life.

Death may call me tomorrow.

Or even in the next hour.

Have I lived life to the fullest?

No.

Have I shared the plans that are stored in this brain of mine?

No.

Have I shared the knowledge that I’ve acquired in the last 15+ years of school?

Not really.

Not really is equivalent to No.

It’s either Yes or No.

There is no in between, in multiple choice exams.

What is holding you back from making GREAT Choices?

Do not fear people.

You will die.

People will die.

If you make mistakes.

Learn from it.

There is no such thing as Failure.

It means try again.

James Madison did not fail 99 times making light bulb. He tried 99 times. The author of Harry Potter and many great authors did not stop from the rejection of 1st Publisher. Michael Jordan was known to have the most missed shots in NBA history. He is also the NBA legend. There are many many examples of Great People who became Great because they did not FEAR Rejection or what people refer to as FAILURE.

Please Lord help me.
Give me strength.

Help me be focused on my goals.

Let my success bring glory to your Name.

Why do I write?

I write to express.
I write to release.

I write to inform.

to escape

to know

to feel

I write–I write

to be known.

Why am I writing, really?

I don’t know, really. I want to know. I want to be skilled. I write to let the world know who I am, my thoughts, my knowledge, my talents. Is it really for the world to know? No, says an inner voice. It’s for you to know. For you to understand yourself. Do you really care what the world thinks of you?

Do not care about what the world thinks of you.

Someone had said, you cried and people smiled when you entered this world. May you live a life that when you leave this world, you will smile while the world cried.

Will people, the world cry when I leave?

Of course. My family.

But will I only be a memory?

Have I influenced other people, positively?

Will I leave a great legacy? Nope.

Will I only be a memory for a while, then no one will even remember how I look?

What have I done for my family?

What have I done for the church?

What have done for the community?

What have done for my island?

How have I contributed to life in general?

I’m halfway to retirement age but haven’t even settled in my career.

Haven’t even reached my educational goal.

Who am I? I ask again..

I want to ask why? But who am I to ask WHY?

I haven’t lived to the fullest. I was told in High School, Junior year, from my volleyball coach, “You have great potential!”

I always thought of this since then.

But now, today, I need some action.

Day 1-Deactivating FB

I just deactivated my Facebook today. I’ve misused Facebook. It’s been taking up most of my time. I haven’t even done anything productive. I want to be in control, not have Facebook control me.
